Adam J. Herman, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, ASA, is Director of Consulting Services for Mueller Prost PC, one of the leading, locally-owned CPA and business advisory firms in St. Louis. Adam has been successful in supporting new business growth in St. Louis through his leadership, energy, integrity, networking skills and credentials which are highly respected among valuation and business professionals.
As Director of Consulting Services, Adam manages an elite group of professionals in the fastest growing areas of public accounting today, including CPAs, valuation analysts, forensic experts, engineers and technical writers. Services include business valuations, research and experimentation tax credit studies, seed-to-early-stage business support, litigation and expert testimony services, forensic accounting, assisting attorneys and business owners with buy-sell agreements, gift and estate tax valuation services, marital dissolution services, stockholder litigation services, business damage litigation support, lost-profit analysis and more.
Adam’s appraisal experience includes a wide variety of assignments with a strong emphasis on closely-held businesses and professional practices. Industries include aerospace, automotive, construction, dental laboratories, engineering, telecommunications, IT consulting, pharmacy, computer software, medical and attorney practices, as well as other retail, manufacturing, service, and professional business establishments.
Adam currently serves on the board of directors of the Missouri Venture Forum. On a national level, he is the 2009-10 Chairman of the Business Valuations Committee for PKF North America, an association of more than 86 independent CPA firms.
Adam is a preferred speaker for various local and national organizations. He has also presented at a wide variety of colleges and universities for education and recruiting purposes.
He is also active in various civic and charitable organizations. In addition, Adam was honored to be named to the 40 Under 40 Class of 2007 by the St. Louis Business Journal.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in accounting and finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated with honors.
